Every year I try to capture as many Christmas trees pictures as I can with my iPhone.  The iPhone doesn’t take the best pictures, but it’s alot easier than carrying your camera around! I actually found that the PS Mobile (Photo Shop Mobile) application for the iPhone comes in handy for a quick touch up before uploading to your favorite SocialMedia site…and it’s FREE!

This year, one of my favorite tree pictures is from a live centerpiece (image to the left) that we received as a gift a couple days ago. I’ve never had a live tree and hope I can keep it alive for many years to come.  I don’t think it will be that hard since it’s just like a houseplant…but we shall see! PS – I don’t have a green thumb!

The home is located in South Kansas City near the Grandview Triangle and was built in 1945. It has a Kitchen, Front Room, Dining Room, 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, full concrete basement and a 1 car garage next to the basement on a 1 acre lot (DOGS LOVE IT) and tucked away at the end of a dead end street. We started on the main level since it would have taken longer to complete both floors…and I wanted to be in before it became to cold outside to move, and luckily we were able to move when it was 50+ degrees outside.

We are still a long way from being done…
but everyone knows that perfection takes time!

Below is a clip from Season 1, Episode 2 “The Bicycle Thief”.  Mitchell and Cameron begin daycare classes with their adopted daughter Lilly. Mitchell asked Cameron to “tone it down” since he feared being the only gay couple there and also tried to make Lilly look good in front of everyone.

On the upside of 2009 — we are in the process of buying a new home. It’s a pretty cute little house with 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and a full basement with garage. There will be LOTS of land for all the doggies to run and play — and for me to spend an entire Sunday on my shiny red Toro riding mower (with a couple cold ones of course). There are a few things around the house that need to be corrected and hopefully we can get all the painting and floors refinished in a timely manner…so I can move in! I’ll blog more on the progress and post some pics — once I take some.

They have lots of foreclosed property (not in all states) and you just need a registered agent to place a bid for you. We went through our friend Mary at Reece and Nichols — which helped out a lot since she was familiar with the process.

So after paying for the service 3 years after I left AT&T, I decided a landline wasn’t worth the $39 a month. That’s half a tank of gas! I had been trying to hold out for AT&T U-Verse to come to my neighborhood & then just switch my cable, internet & phone to that service…but then I found out it’s not any cheaper & the internet speeds SUCK! They currently only offer download speeds up to 3.0 mbps…and I’m currently getting 15 mbps with RoadRunner Turbo.

So yah, I signed the 15 month agreement with Time Warner to get the 3 package deal price of $150 a month…might as well since I’ve had Time Warner service for the last 12 yrs! I can only hope that there will be a better package in 15 months that will peak my interest, even if it’s not Time Warner.

I’ll let you know if I have any problems with the service. I already like the features with this service, like TV Caller ID, no longer having to 10-digit-dial in the same area code, and the new modem/TA comes with a 16 hour Standby battery pack (which doesn’t turn off phone service if the power goes out).

Pretty sweet!
